Perhaps the first thing to say is this: head on over to The Last Vegas website and download their new EP Other Side. It's free. Then, if you don't own their debut album Whatever Gets You Off, you should pick it up immediately. It's a fine album.
After many moons of constant touring, The Last Vegas visited the studio and offer this short three song EP. The songs are varied, but certainly play to the bands strength. Evil Eyes moves by the strength of their rhythm section's rock groove; against their more raucous material, it's lighter fare. It Ain't Easy has a strong scent of blues, sounding like the bastard child of an orgy between the Stones, Aerosmith, and Cinderella. Other Side finds The Las Vegas back in the Eighties on the Sunset Strip offer bawdy and raucous sleaze rock. All the songs reflect sound musicianship and maturity in composition. If this a hint of what's to come on their sophomore album, it's a promise of good things to come.
